BALDRON® 400 SL

Non-selective herbicide with systemic action, used as foliar application in the form of a concentrate for the preparation of an aqueous solution (SL). The agent contains two active substances with a different mechanism of action. The active substance glyphosate is an inhibitor of the enzyme EPSPS synthase, which is a key enzyme in the metabolic pathway of shikimic acid related to the biosynthesis of aromatic amino acids. In the plant, it inhibits the synthesis of proteins necessary for plant growth. The active substance 2.4 D is classified as growth and development inhibitors. In plants, it causes disturbances in cell division, which in turn leads to deformation of leaves and stems, growth inhibition, stunting, and then chlorosis, necrosis and drying up of plants. The first effects of the measure in the form of deformation of leaves and shoots are visible after a few days, then the plants begin to turn yellow and wither. Complete dieback of the plants takes about 3 weeks. High temperature and air humidity as well as strong sunlight accelerate the action of the product.
